Removing the Christian "fundies".

One of my goals as a Christian is to write and draw Modern Christians and hope it finds a huge enough audience that encourages the readers to think and act more like Christ and to think like Him. Though it annoys me when certain Christians who get a lot of attention and have a huge fanbase can support people who say some of the most distasteful and offensive things one can say and push potential Christians away such as what these two famous Christians do here:

To me, any Christian who claims God today uses disasters, either man made or natural to punish hundreds of people appears to have a closed mind, especially to the possiblity that theres a good chance many Christians died in those disasters.

Though when Isreal is presured to give up land by the U.S. government, God gives warnings using natural disasters according to Jack Chick as this tract shows:

 http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/1055/1055_01.asp

I am not sure if I should agree with him on that, it looks debatable and Jack Chick has been known to get his facts wrong on some things.

And not only that, but also that these types of Christians feel they need to force everyone around them to follow their way and pressure the government to listen to their way as if it's for the good of America. The claim that they gotta keep America as a "Christian Nation", which it never really was, nor was intended to be in my opinion. This too, hurts our reputation. I don't really feel it's the Christians job to try to change the laws of America or any country, since thats not what we are called to do.

I feel it's just our job as Christians to spread the good news and to set an example for other Christians to follow, instead of claiming God punishes hundreds of people without a warning and getting involved with worldly politics.

I want to use Modern Christians to help the "fundies" to stop acting like extremists that seem out of character of what Jesus would say and do.

YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!!!!

This is based on an experince the head pastor of my church went through.
Honestly, I feel that street preachers should stick to handing out free Bibles and tracts to explain the gospel rather than screaming to everyone, hurting Christanity's reputation.

Are detail "mistakes" real mistakes?

Many times as we reread comics, it's fun for me and others to look at details or things we might have missed reading through the comic the first time. Though when I see things that look like mistakes to me done by professional artists, I wonder how much of a big deal is it to get away with it and hope the reader or editors don't notice. Here's an example from the graphic novel Daytripper. (Which i recommend getting since it's a great story and has great art)

Look at the "Congrats! Jorge" on the birthday card in the first panel and notice that the letters in"Congrats!" is lined up differently with the "Jorge" letters in the 3rd panel. In the first panel the "J" in "Jorge" is right under the "n" and "g" in "Congrats!" In the 3rd panel, the "J" is under the "o" and "n"

Also notice the photograph the birthday card is covering in both panels. In the first panel, most of the upper right is covered up. In the 3rd panel, it's just the tip of the corner covered up.

Do these count as real mistakes to you? Or just let them go since details like this are not the main focus of the story and most readers may not notice? I noticed a similar mistake done in the graphic novel Watchmen, which is considered the best graphic novel ever and yet, it's still highly praised for what it accomplished.

I guess I feel like since these artists are "professionals" they shouldn't do things like this? Do you consider it acceptable to make a mistake when showing something the first time like a sign, signature or other little details and it doesn't show up exactly the same when shown again in another panel without explanation?
